About the Impro Fest Bielefeld
A festival for improvised theatre in Bielefeld in the Tor6 Theaterhaus - with international artists, workshops and a diverse show programme at the highest level - that is the Impro Fest Bielefeld.
For 4 days, Bielefeld becomes the center of spontaneous theater - every evening there are unique theater evenings that inspire and touch.
The improvisational theatre scene meets to work and celebrate together - over 100 improvisation enthusiasts travel from all over Germany and Europe.
In November 2024, the Impro Fest Bielefeld will be entering its 4th round - created in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic as IFO - i.e. as Impro Fest Online - we have long since become an offline event and inspire the Bielefeld audience year after year.
What is improvisational theatre anyway? The art form is just as diverse as all other forms of theatre - the difference: all scenes, all characters, all stories are created in the moment. The audience can be inspired or just enjoy, because our professional artists will play galactically well. We guarantee it!
The team
We are actors, workshop leaders and directors and since the beginning of March 2020 we are above all: festival organizers. We are theater educators, stand-up artists, scientists, media makers, special needs teachers and we are all connected by improvisational theater.
We organize this festival on a voluntary basis.
