Simone Schwegler
Simone Schwegler from Zurich (Switzerland) has been improvising on and off stage for 20 years and is a professional improv player, trainer and coach at home and abroad.
As a passionate player, she is known for her irrepressible joy of playing, versatile emotions and physicality on stage. She loves to start do it yourself and craft projects (and finish very few of them), orderly colors and cultivated nonsense.
She soon realized that Switzerland was too small for Simone, so in addition to training as a theater pedagogue, she also trained abroad, including at the iO in Chicago, with Randy Dixon in Seattle and with Keith Johnstone and Shawn Kinley during a 6-month study visit to Loose Moose Calgary. As an improv globetrotter, she has been on tour more than at home for a long time and has performed, coached and taught workshops at various festivals and groups in 13 countries.
Simone is co-founder of the European improv network OHANA, the improv festival SPUNK and is a permanent ensemble member, co-owner and former artistic director of anundpfirsich (Zurich).
Simone is teaching the following workshops at IFO 2025:
